Activelink is a small company based in Sandyford (beside Luas
station), South County Dublin, providing services exclusively to the
not-for-profit sector. We are seeking to hire a permanent part-time
web-editor. This position would suit someone who learns quickly and
can work with minimal supervision.
WE ARE SEEKING A WEB EDITOR TO CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
Deal directly with clients by email and telephone;
Manage a queue of advertising and posting requests;
Proofread and format advertisements;
Publish advertisements and posts on the Activelink website;
Issue invoices and monitor client accounts;
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Excellent English, both spoken and written, with the ability to
proofread and correct documents;
Working knowledge of MS Office software, primarily Word, Excel and
Outlook;
Web-CMS editing skills are essential, ideally with Drupal, also HTML
skills;
Good personal skills and the ability to deal with queries in a kind
and courteous manner;
Some knowledge of web-accessibility would be an asset.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in a similar role would be useful, but we are
more interested in finding the right person. References are essential.
Familiarity with the not-for-profit sector in Ireland would be a
useful asset.
NOTE: We are currently re-developing our website's interface and
enhancing its accessibility. This job could present the right person
with the opportunity to work with our web-developers and accessibility
consultants.
This is a part-time (**Apply on the website** hour week over 5 days)
position. Generous remuneration and terms are negotiable. Annual
holidays: **Apply on the website** days (pro-rata) plus Good Friday
plus additional days over New Year break holidays. Some remote/home
working is possible after initial probationary period.
